Danny’s practice involves both civil and criminal works. He has appeared in all levels of courts from the Magistrates’ Court to the Court of Final Appeal.

His civil practice includes advising on and acting for clients in matters including contractual disputes, commercial/company disputes (shareholders’ dispute and insolvency), building management, land and property disputes (adverse possession, encroachment and compulsory sale), company, defamation, employment, probate, personal injury and professional negligence.

Danny is frequently instructed to advise on and defend clients in commercial offences, money laundering related offences and departmental summonses. Apart from criminal defence, Danny regularly acts as prosecutor-on-fiat for the Department of Justice.

Aside from court work, Danny acts for clients in mediation, arbitration and professional disciplinary proceedings, as advocate.

He is also frequently appointed by parties to act as mediator and/or arbitrator in respect of their disputes.

Danny previously delivered part-time lectures at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, School of Continuing and Professional Studies on Criminal Procedures and the Law of Evidence.

Prior to joining the Bar, Danny was trained as a solicitor and practised at an international law firm specialising in corporate finance (IPO/M&A), liquidation and winding-up and arbitration. To date, he still holds his qualification as a solicitor (non-practising) in the UK and BVI.
